May 9th, Europe Day

Throughout the month of May, the City of Strasbourg organizes various events both cultural, fun and festive as a part of the Europe Fest. On this occasion, AMSED participated to share their interest in European construction.

On May 9th, Europe Day, volunteers of the association conducted a parade for Europe in the center of Strasbourg, 9 May 2015, and a flashmob organized by the Delegation of European Union with the rhythm of the European anthem.

Then the AMSED took part in a round table, ran a stand and offered animations in the Lieu d’Europe, the 16th of May 2015.  One of these animations was the recording of a podcast during which young people expressed themselves about the Europe 2020 strategy, the European year for development and European citizenship by answering to the following questions:

– What do you think about the political and economical situation in Europe one year after the elections?

– For you, what does it mean to be European? Do you feel that you are European?

– For you, what are the most essential values to reinfoce the sense of belonging in Europe?

– 2015 is the European year for development: what do you think about the European involvement in the fight against poverty in the world?

– What do you think about the Europe 2020 strategy which promotes a more inclusive growth?
