LOCALISATION AND INFORMATION ABOUT ASSOCIATION
The NGO Save Our School Created officially since September 21, 2010, is a structure intervenes in the field of Education. Based in Abidjan, in the town of Port-Bouet, in the vicinity of the Moderne High School of the said commune, it brings together students, unemployed, private and public workers and businessmen. All of them, having won the cause of the Ivorian school, they voluntarily decided to join forces to support students and actors in the educational community.
PROJET
Literacy project to teach children and women how to read and write through games of understanding, in order to help them learn French. Literacy Summer is a project that will offer illiterate women and children a different education based on the use of comprehension and assimilation games, thus helping to accelerate the learning process. It will involve taking part in the fight against school and cultural exclusion through the creation of frescoes and paintings with students. Renovations of the school will be planned as well.
MISSIONS ET TYPES D’ACTIONS
• Literacy classes for children and women.
• Manual work: renovation of the school (painting, masonry …).
Profile of volunteers: Young volunteers, French or foreign, motivated by international solidarity, civic engagement and interculturality – Linguistic and pedagogical abilities.
