What is a solidarity Workshop

It is a project organized by young people and for young people. The goal is to promote international solidarity and to enable young people to enjoy opportunities to travel making themselves useful. International youth work sites are intercultural meeting places for motivated and volunteer people. The project can be construction, renovation, environmental protection, animation, but also the accompaniment of people and realization of educational, health and social infrastructure, organization of reforestation campaigns, etc. The projects are designed to encourage meetings and exchanges with young people from the host country. Because a world of exchange changes the world!

These different workshops are places of meeting and contact with other people from all over world, will enhance your skills and know-how! They will make you discover archeology, history, the protection of nature, children, extraordinary places of the world … and group life. Whether the project is scheduled for 2 weeks or 1 month, the working time is generally from 4h to 8h per day: it is not quantified but everyone is invested in this stay of general interest.

These missions do not receive public funding, so the living expenses are usually borne by the volunteer. But these costs can however be exempted !! And the costs on site (accommodation, catering, city tour, etc.) are very affordable, since we are in partnership with a local NGO, which agrees to a reasonable stay price for the volunteer. But also, AMSED accompanies you in your self-financing (sale of pancakes, organization of evening, sale of chocolate, Christmas market, etc.).
