The Council of Europe launches its “Youth Campaign for Revitalising of Democracy”

The  Youth campaign for revitalising democracy will run throughout the Council of Europe member states during the period from March to October 2022. It aims at strengthening young people’s role in the process of revitalising participatory democracy and restoring mutual trust between young people and democratic institutions and processes.

The campaign will focus on three key themes: revitalisation of democracy, meaningful youth participation and digitalisation.

In the framework of the campaign, local, national and international activities will take place allowing young people, youth workers, youth organisations and youth policy institutions to shape the themes, the content and the outcomes of the campaign in the spirit of participatory democracy.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM THE EUROPEAN YOUTH FUND

The European Youth Foundation (EYF) would like to support youth organisations seeking funding to organise activities in the framework of the 2022 Youth Campaign.

These youth organisations can submit :

  • Grant applications for pilot activities to be implemented by local and national youth organisations in the framework of the campaign.
  • Grant applications for international activities to be implemented in 2022 by international youth organisations or national youth organisations with partners in the framework of the campaign.

Applications can be submitted until 16 May 2022.

In order to support youth organisations wishing to apply for funding and/or register with the EYF in the framework of the Campaign, the Council of Europe is organising a “Questions & Answers” session on the EYF special call. The session will take place online on 28 January 2022 from 10:30 to 12:00 CET. To attend the session, please register here before 24 January 2022.
