\u0298 Grand Est classified as a “risk zone” by the German authorities, what are the consequences?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
The crisis unit of the Federal Republic of Germany has declared the Greater East Region as a “risk zone”, with effect from this evening, Friday 16 October, at midnight. The classification is officially published on the page of the Robert-Koch-Institute: https:\/\/www.rki.de\/DE\/Content\/InfAZ\/N\/Neuartiges_Coronavirus\/Risikogebiete_neu.html.\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
In concrete terms, this means that all persons arriving from the Far East region and entering Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg are subject to the quarantine obligation according to the Land Corona Ordinance, with the exception of the following cases:<\/p>\n
\n
- Persons staying in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg for less than 24 hours (this rule also applies to the two other border states: Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland),<\/li>\n
- Border workers<\/li>\n
- People undergoing urgent medical treatment<\/li>\n
- Persons working in transportation, police services, allied forces<\/li>\n
- People who have stayed less than 48 hours in a risk zone<\/li>\n
- People travelling for family reasons: custody\/visiting children, visiting spouse, assistance to a relative, funeral, marriage…<\/li>\n
- Essential business travel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

It is therefore possible, when one comes from a risk area, to travel to the territory of the three L\u00e4nder bordering on the Great East for less than 24 hours without any justification. This is the current regulation and it may change as the epidemic progresses. The Museums of the City of Strasbourg offer many activities and visits for groups in German or Alsatian. This year, don’t miss the Goethe in Strasbourg exhibition which will be held from November 20 at the Heitz Gallery in the Palais Rohan, as well as the new city tour Tomi auf der Spur \/ Le Chemin de Tomi, the result of a collaboration between several partners. The offer is aimed at bilingual classes, German-speaking groups of all ages and any other structure related to the German or Alsatian language.<\/p>\n

The national support program for cities of less than 20,000 inhabitants and their inter-municipalities was launched on Thursday 1 October by Jacqueline Gourault (Minister of Territorial Cohesion) and Jo\u00ebl Giraud (Secretary of State for Rural Affairs) in Barentin (Seine-Maritime).
