It is followed by a wet season from June to September. But you can travel in Nepal during every season according to the places you choose to visit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time difference<\/strong>: +6h45 in summer with Paris<\/p>\n<p><strong>Currency<\/strong>: Rupee, mainly in banknotes<\/p>\n<p><strong>People and ethnic groups<\/strong>: Chhetri, Behu, Newars, Newari, Tharu, Sherpas, Tamangs, Gurungs, Kiranti and Magar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Religion<\/strong>: Hinduism for 81% of the population<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language<\/strong>: Nepalese people speak Nepalese language. Formalities<\/u><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Visa and passport with a six-month obligatory minimum period of validity<\/p>\n<p>Touristic visas for a period of 60 days are delivered either in a Nepalese diplomatic representation abroad (cost of the visa: 40\u20ac) or at the Nepalese border (cost of the 60-day visa: 25\u20ac for a single entry).<\/p>\n<p>All the information concerning the visas is available on <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ambafrance-np.org\/Les-visas-pour-se-rendre-au-Nepal\" class=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow\">http:\/\/www.ambafrance-np.org\/Les-visas-pour-se-rendre-au-Nepal<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">IV. Health<\/u><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>No vaccination is required to go to Nepal. Nevertheless it is necessary to take several vaccinal precautions such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To make sure that obligatory vaccinations in France are updated: BCG, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Poliomyelitis<\/li>\n<li>Other vaccinations are strongly advised: typhoid (A and B), hepatitis (A and B)<\/li>\n<li>Other vaccinations can be recommended by the attending physician according to each case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>On the spot<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Careful to the consequences linked to sun and heat exposure knowing that negative impacts of sunshine are increased by the altitude. You should also protect yourself from the cold because, in winter, there are risks of serious frostbites even at a low altitude.<\/li>\n<li>Tap water is not drinkable; you must only drink bottled or boiled water. Besides, it is advised to not eat raw food.<\/li>\n<li>Mountain sickness can occur and may be deadly. It can occur beyond 3000 meters of altitude. It is important to know about the disorders and to get used to high altitude progressively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">V. Security<\/u><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is advised to stay away from gatherings or \u201cbandh\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Isolated travels, without supervisory staff, are banned.<\/li>\n<li>Careful with common swindling: someone can be offered to export jewels or gold to a third country for a commission, tourists are then blackmailed by crooks who threaten to report them to the police.<\/li>\n<li>There are a lot of street sellers who propose drugs; legislation concerning drug consumption and traffic is very severe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">VI.
