From 24 to 27 November 2021, the annual “Jeunesses Med” meeting of the Euromed France Network will take place in Marseille. 70 participants are expected from 17 countries of the Mediterranean region. This meeting will be a moment of exchange with round tables, debates and visits of associative structures of the region, tourist and cultural visits, and screenings open to the general public.
The objectives of the meeting are the following:
- To support the emergence of a common voice on the issues shared by young people in the Mediterranean, and to set up tools and activities to raise public awareness of these issues
- To develop inter-knowledge between associative actors
- To structure the networking of young Mediterranean people invested and committed in civil society
- To strengthen the capacities of young people in the construction and implementation of common citizen initiatives on a Euro-Mediterranean scale
- To raise awareness among the French public about the reality of young Mediterranean people
- To involve, enhance and energize the associative fabric of the Euro-Mediterranean region and the initiatives of solidarity, cooperation and development carried out locally.
Registrations are still open. The main criteria are as follows:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be committed to one of the 5 issues at the heart of the Jeunesses Med network: employment and vocational training, art and culture, migration, environment, citizen participation
- Be interested in Euro-Mediterranean relations and willing to join a network of young people sharing common commitments in other territories
- Reside in Malta, Greece or Portugal
