In collaboration with the association La mĂ©moire de la mĂ©dina from Kairouan, AMSED organized a seminar in Tunisia, from 16 to 21 September 2019. This seminar was organized in order to capitalize on the Erasmus + project of the strategic European Solidarity Corps, entitled “The e-Citizenship Factory: an innovative tool and an inclusive lever for the volunteering of disadvantaged young people, migrants and refugees to prevent radicalization”.
This seminar allowed all the actors involved in voluntary actions to meet and exchange ideas. Thus, international associative partners (ESD, AVEC, Famille du Monde, Collectif Marocain du Volontariat, Argania, etc.), local partners (Centre socio-culturel de Hautepierre, PĂ´le emploi, etc.), public decision-makers (Commissaire Jeunesse et Sport de Tunisie, Mayor of Kairouan) and young Euromaghreb volunteers were present.
For AMSED, this seminar was intended to be a time to share and capitalize on the achievements obtained by young people during voluntary missions: multimedia, transversal and digital skills. The question of the possible professional and socio-educational integration of young volunteers after a mobility was also discussed, in particular through the presence of members and partners of the structure PĂ´le Emploi.
During this seminar, many workshops were organised, in particular on the concepts of e-citizenship and radicalization of young people.
First of all, the advantages of web journalism over traditional journalism were mentioned with the presence of quality speakers such as the Algerian journalist Hafid Azzouzi from El Watan newspaper, and a journalist from the Tunisian radio CAP FM.
During a European Solidarity Corps (ESC), the objective is to give young volunteers, partners and other stakeholders all the tools they need to become actors in the society.
Then, during a round table, speakers and partners were invited to share their good practices in preventing youth radicalization, particularly on the Internet.
But that’s not all, the participants of this seminar were also invited to work on the creation of a capitalization tool. At the end of the seminar, the participants were able to work on the creation of a toolbox (success story, life story, films, e-booklet), combining innovative tools in the field of media and information education, professional integration and the involvement of young people in decentralised cooperation. A draft ESC guide has also been created, allowing readers to understand the different stages of voluntary service.
