A summer punctuated by volunteering – Summer 2019 Workcamps

At AMSED, summer means solidarity! This is why several projects take place each year.

This year, several groups of young people travelled with the will to act to several countries: India, Morocco, Peru, Nepal, Vietnam, Lebanon and Côte d’Ivoire.

The partners welcomed them according to the traditions and culture of the country.

In Nepal, volunteers went to Bhaktapur to help a school rebuild buildings and classrooms, so that students would have more decent working conditions.

In Peru, in Lima, volunteers had the opportunity to participate in a solidarity project, the objective of which was to participate in the actions of a local association in order to help them with their financing, which works to improve the living conditions of slum dwellers.

In Vietnam, in Da Nang, the young volunteers helped during the construction period to run workshops for orphaned or disadvantaged children.

In Lebanon, in the city of Beirut, the project offered many refugee and disadvantaged children the opportunity to participate in activities, learn the basics of recycling and DIY.

In Morocco, in the city of Fez, young volunteers helped to develop proposed activities, with disadvantaged children and isolated and battered women.

In Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the solidarity project helped to renovate a school and carry out cultural activities.

In Mothuka, India, the group of volunteers has made it possible to carry out educational activities for disadvantaged and poor children, allowing them to share musical, artistic and dancing moments!
