The need for a social Europe!

On the occasion of the European elections of 26 May 2019, the REF wanted to produce a document to raise awareness and question candidates of the various lists concerning the future European foreign policy and particularly that pertaining to the Mediterranean neighborhood.

Thanks to the contribution of several member organizations – League of Human Rights, iReMMO, Alter’Solidaire, Instants Digital and Poetic Video, Association of Women of Southern Europe, Platform of French NGOs for Palestine, pS-Eau, CARI, Committee for the Respect of Freedoms and Human Rights in Tunisia, Solidarité Laïque – the interpellation document attached to this e-mail puts forward 9 priority themes:

Shrinkage (s) in the space of civil society and collective freedoms
Migration – mobility – asylum
Mediterranean youth and youth participation
Cultural rights
Equality between women and men
Recognition of the State of Palestine
Preservation and sustainable management of water resources
Voting of foreigners in local elections
Education and citizenship
